UAPCS Board Candidate – Roberta Hardy

Roberta is asking for your support and vote to be a UAPCS board member. Roberta has been a board member since the founding of UAPCS with the exception of the past two years. Roberta is the founder of Pinnacle Canyon Academy in Price which is the second oldest charter school in the state.  Pinnacle is a K-12 school with 525 students.  Over 23% of Pinnacles students have IEP’s.

Roberta will bring institutional knowledge of charter school legislation, governance, and Association history to the board. Having serviced on the board in prior years it would be helpful to have Roberta‘s  historical perspective. Roberta has been helpful to charter schools in the past with special education issues, board/governance issues and helped write many of the current grants that serve charter schools in the state.

Roberta is most pleased with her role as mother to her three awesome children and is often found cheering at rodeos and basketball games! Along with her husband Leo they live on a 23 acre alfalfa farm with 23 horses, 5 dogs, a cat, a donkey and five cows!

Roberta offers 13 years of charter school experience, 14 years of social work experience running Family Support Centers in Utah and lots of common sense.
